Thanks so much for you quick reply! Unfortunately, I live in the US. It would be great if you could look up my 2 Mulchrone men while you are doing your own research! I don't have their service #s. I've seen mention of the Herlihy (Hope I'm spelling that right since I can't see your mention of his name the way this messaging system is formatted.) book. I could try buying it from Amazon if it would make it easier for you to search with the service #. There are 2 Herlihy books mentioned. Only the 2005 edition is available and the subtitle is "A Biographical and Genealogical Guide." Is that the correct book?
Thanks so much for you kind offer. I would be glad to reimburse you for any expenses you incur.
Reply from DesW: Hi Lorie You're welcome! I'll look up ur 2 guys & print/transcribe all I find. Under $2 charge, so don't worry about any cost. Jim Herlihy wrote at least 3 books about RIC members, I've library access to em. No need for u 2 even think of buying just for 2 records. I'll look up his Alphabetical List of RIC Officers & Men, from 1816-1922. If u'd like 2 send me a normal email (this yuku thing isn't great alright), I'll send you what I get asap. desfwhite@eircom.net Cheers for now.... Des PS - Loved ur saying "....unfortunately I live in the US....", made me smile. I know what u meant tho. I mean this sincerely - unfortunately I live in bankrupt IRELAND, haha!
I think I replied earlier, but not to sure it worked - this Yuku thing seems unnecessarily complicated to me! Anyway, I've sent off an e-mail also so you have my e-mail address.
Hi Des -it's moments like this that keep me going in my genealogy quest!! Suddenly another huge piece of the jigsaw falls into place! I've just read
all your posting on RIC site, and am desperate to hear more! Your GGF William K was also the father of Joseph William K, b. 30.1.1872 and d. 21.2.1938.
Joseph William is my husband's GGF (my husband is a Stephen Kirwan too!). I'd love to see any cuttings/info you have, as I'm trying to track down
as many family members as possible for my family tree on the Ancestry website, which you can view if you like. I particularly love all the reminiscence stuff
- sadly I don't have much of this, as other family members have not been quite so forthcoming so far. It's difficult because we're in England, so
we don't have regular contact with remaining family in Wexford. My email address is s.kirwan@sky.com if you're
able to post any more info, or I can give you my home address - I'll happily refund postage/photocopying charges as required. Thanks so much for getting
in touch - I can't wait to hear more from you, and if I can be of any assistance to you - just let me know. Best wishes, Julia Original comment »

Reply from DesW: Hey Julia
Great you read my rubbish, but even better that it meant something to you! Meet your brother (or just a cuz!) about the genealogy stuff; living/recent
relatives do my head in about family history.
First rule of mine - NOBODY in my family has to pay me anything for shared history, so unless you want the family crown jewels (another story, haha), anything
I find is shared with you, OK?
Second rule - NO rules (but I'm verily happily married and so it seems are you)!
I'll get all of I have found so far & email it to you this week. U OK with Adobe, Word and Excel files?
I didn't think there was another branch of our Kirwans in England, I'll send you more about my uncle Billy Kirwan's crowd as well.
It was amazing to see your original post, really it was. Knowing my family's lack of closeness (I'm as bad myself), it was hard to believe ANYONE in
the World who's related would ever connect.............apart from my in-laws (too many to count, aaaaargh, but I adore my wife Louise, it's not her
fault who she's related to. It'll be some laugh doing her family ancestory).
Cheers for now.
